RPM, tool diameter and cutting speed

The speed n is stated in revolutions per minute [RPM]. The required speed is determined from the cutting speed V in [m/min] or [m/s] and the diameter of the tool d x π (3.14).

Cutting speed V

The cutting speed is the speed with which a tool bit is fed through the production material in the direction of the cut to produce chips. The cutting speed V is stated in metres per minute [m/min] or in metres per second [m/s]. It is stated, depending on the speed of the drive n, in revolutions per minute [RPM] and the diameter of the tool d in [mm] x π (3.14).
