Biocidal products/Treated goods
Please inform us, before delivery, if the products/materials which you are delivering to us contain biocide materials or have been treated with these. If this is the case, please inform us which biocide materials in particular are involved and what products are affected.
Otherwise, we will assume that there are no biocide materials in your products/materials.
On 1 September 2013, the new Biocidal Products Regulation (EU) No. 528/2012 replaced the previous Directive 98/8/EC.
The new regulation allows for new authorization procedures, for example approval of a Union list of active substances or the approval of product families. There is a simplified procedure for products with low environmental and health profiles. In addition, alongside biocidal products, goods treated with biocidal products are also now included. In addition to new labelling requirements, these may only contain active substances which are tradable in the European Union. Within the framework of the new regulation, the use of active substances produced in situ is also regulated (for example, ozone). As a result of the change of the legal basis, there are new requirements for application documents. There are also changes to the formal requirements for the authorization of biocidal products, such as the formats and time limits for filing.
