New addition to the PFERD range – diamond grinding points for foundries
15 Aug 2019
PFERD builds on the successful launch of its range of diamond grinding points for foundries by adding sought-after shapes and sizes.
Fast and abrasive cast iron post-processing
The new diamond grinding points with extra-coarse grain are particularly well-suited to grinding, levelling and deburring grey and nodular cast iron. They outshine the competition with their outstanding tool life and fast and abrasive grinding capability. These grinding points with their diamond grain are excellent for machining areas that are difficult to reach. The following points provide a quick overview of their additional advantages:
- Grinding with excellent stock removal rate.
- Thanks to the super-hard diamond abrasive, it is quick and easy to remove metal contamination.
- Lower dust load due to the dimensional stability of the grinding tool (no tool wear).
- Diamond grinding points can be integrated seamlessly into automated processes thanks to their extremely long tool life and dimensional stability.
New product range
PFERD is expanding its range of diamond grinding points and, as a result, now offers all of the important shapes and sizes. The range consists of fifteen different grinding points with a coarse diamond grain (D 852) and shank diameters of 6 mm and 8 mm. These can be used on flexible shaft drives, straight grinders and stationary machines. Diamond grinding points are used exclusively for the machining of grey and nodular cast iron. They are not suitable for the processing of steel or annealed cast iron.
