PFERD introduces new turbos among angle grinders
PFERD has added three new air turbine angle grinders for three different disc diameters (125/150/180 mm) to the tool drive range.
The new tool drives from PFERD feature very efficient turbine motors. With 2.6 kW, the drives are among the most powerful machines on the market. In conjunction with equally high-performance tools, these combinations work two or even three times as fast as comparable solutions. In addition to the high performance, they ensure comfortable handling and offer advantages as defined by PFERDVALUE .
The threaded spindle can be combined with different clamping and rear flanges, which guarantees various kinds of tool holding. The machine features a spindle lock pin, allowing tool changes with just one key. In addition, the product has an anti-vibration handle at the side, which can be individually adjusted in numerous positions. While many other air angle grinders have to be used with a lubricator, the new PFERD drives are used without oil, which prevents residues on the workpiece. Optional accessories include a revolving plug for very comfortable handling.
Added value in terms of ergonomics and efficiency
These air turbine angle grinders contribute to improving ergonomics and efficiency and meet the Vibration Filter, Emission Filter, Haptic Filter and Time-Saving criteria of the PFERDVALUE programme, since the drives are very light and characterized by their compact, ergonomic design, their housing, which is insulated against cold and vibration, as well as their high performance compared to their weight. Very stable rotational speeds and the fact that they can be loaded up until the motor comes to a standstill ensure that, unlike with electric grinders, there is no risk of overloading. Air turbine angle grinders are versatile and low-maintenance.
“Our air turbine angle grinders are significantly more health-friendly than solutions with lubricators, which leave residues,” says Wolfgang Benna, product manager for tool drives at PFERD, the brand of August Rüggeberg GmbH & Co KG. “Thanks to their compact design and low weight, they are very manageable, too. Minimizing vibration, the handle contributes to the user-friendly operation, as it does not impair their health,” adds Benna and continues, “The worker therefore enjoys a high degree of working comfort, since little strength is required to use the tool drive, and the process is easy to control. With stable power and the selection of an equally high-performance tool, the drives work two or three times as fast as other combinations.”
