Tungsten carbide specialist for plastic processing
The new tungsten carbide burrs in the PLAST cut from PFERD offer convincing advantages in robot and machine use. The special tooth geometry allows high feed speed rates with very low cutting forces, especially on less hard glass and carbon fibre reinforced duroplastics (GFK and CFK ≤ 40% fibre content).
The combination of end cut or centre drill allows drilling and milling work to be carried out in one work step. There is little delamination and fraying thanks to the straight cut of workpieces. TC burrs "PLAST" are suitable for trimming, contour milling, deburring or cutting out.
PFERD offers two different versions: PLAST cut TC burrs with end cut (BS) are particularly suited for use with machines and robots and those with a centre drill bit (ZBS) are specially developed for manual application. The special geometry of this type allows safe milling on concave or convex surfaces. Both cuts are also distinguished by a particularly smooth and quiet operation. The PFERD range covers various dimensions.
