Bench grinding wheels

PFERD offers a very wide range of high-quality bench grinding wheels for working with a large variety of materials and for many different applications.

Mounted points STEEL and STEEL EDGE

The STEEL type is the most universal bond for machining steel and cast steel. It is extremely well suited to grinding high-speed steel (HSS) moulded parts and weld dressing on steel constructions.

The STEEL EDGE type is particularly well suited to edge grinding and deburring work on steel and cast steel components. Its applications also include grinding of chamfers in preparation for weld seams and grinding of contours.

Mounted points in hardness J

Mounted points in hardness J are manufactured from a vitrified bond and a grain mix of white aluminium oxide and blue ceramic oxide. The soft bond in combination with the easy-to-break-down, sharp-edged white aluminium oxide and the self-sharpening effect of the microcrystalline ceramic oxide grain leads to extremely high stock removal rates with a very good tool life.
The hardness J is perfectly suited for surface work on titanium materials, nickel- and cobalt-based alloys, hardened steel components and built-up weld deposits.
